The Shanghai Data Exchange is expected to drop 1000 Ethereum NFT tokens today – 13th April – during the Hong Kong International Innovation and Technology Exhibition that kicked off yesterday.

Here’s what we know:

The expo, jointly organized by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) government and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), is running in conjunction with the HKTDC Hong Kong Electronics Fair and HKTDC Hong Kong International Lighting Fair.

The three tech fairs opened at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center on Wednesday, attracting nearly 3,000 exhibitors from 20 countries and regions and showcasing Hong Kong’s role as a global innovation hub and trade exhibition center.

The Crypto content platform CryptoNatty will manage the airdrop through its Launch Tower portal. And you can buy these NFT tokens from Shanghai Data Exchange by connecting your  MetaMask, Argent, Rainbow, or WalletConnect wallets. The exchange will close the claim window at 23:59 local time on April 14. The airdrop will conclude on Apr 16.

The airdrop comes despite the Chinese government’s stringent stance against cryptocurrencies.  However, the Chinese Vice Minister of Science and Technology Zhang Guangjun said Hong Kong is an important gathering place for global innovation elements and a key hub in the global innovation network.
