In response to the recent conflict in Israel, a collective of leaders within the local cryptocurrency community, including prominent entities like 42Studio, MarketAcross, Collider Ventures, CryptoJungle, Nilos, Blockchain B7, Efficient Frontier, Ironblocks, the Israel Blockchain Association, Bits of Gold, and Cointelegraph, have united to establish ‘Crypto Aid Israel’. This global fundraiser is dedicated to providing humanitarian aid to displaced Israeli citizens who find themselves in urgent need of support.
The conflict, which continues to unfold, has had a devastating impact on the civilian population, with casualties estimated in the thousands. A recent report from Haaretz, an Israeli news source, indicates that the attacks on local populations have resulted in over 700 Israeli casualties, along with nearly 2,400 individuals wounded since Hamas’ surprise invasion last Saturday. In Gaza, Palestinians report over 560 casualties and more than 2,700 wounded.
Ben Samocha, the CEO of CryptoJungle, outlined the primary objective of Crypto Aid Israel: “We hope to raise the necessary funds to provide food and shelter for families who lost their homes. We are also hoping to provide hygiene and medical products for the bombarded Israeli civilian populace…”
