The Hong Kong Web3 Festival is back for its second edition, taking place from April 6th to 9th, 2024, co-hosted by Wanxiang Blockchain Labs and HashKey Group. This event follows the successful 2023 edition and promises a lineup of industry experts.
Here’s what we know:
In 2023, the inaugural Web3 Festival attracted over 50,000 attendees, featured 300 speakers from across the globe, showcased 100 exhibitors, and hosted nearly 200 side events. It marked a watershed moment for Hong Kong’s Web3 industry, solidifying its position as a regional hub for innovation.
Hong Kong has actively embraced Web3 technology, with initiatives like the virtual assets policy and a dedicated Web3 task force. Notably, last year’s festival saw participation from government figures and tech sector leaders.
The 2024 edition of the festival promises to build upon these foundations. It will bring together leading minds, Web3 projects, and venture capitalists, fostering insightful discussions and addressing pivotal topics within the Web3 sphere. Some of the notable speakers expected at the event include Dr. Feng Xiao, Chairman of Wanxiang Blockchain and HashKey Group; Hong, President of OKX; Dominic Williams, Founder & Chief Scientist of DFINITY Foundation; and CZ, Founder & CEO of Binance, among others.
Key areas of focus for this year’s festival include AIGC, privacy computing, Web3 security, Web3 infrastructure, Fintech, and DePIN. Attendees can anticipate engaging discussions, invaluable networking opportunities, and a glimpse into the future of Web3 technology.
